BlogPrivate Jet, Coronavirus, Covid, Aircraft Sanitizing
As more and more countries increase travel restrictions to fight the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19, Cielo Aviation continues to receive private jet charter requests from passengers stranded abroad or separated from their families, and with a great spirit of service, it keeps covering even the most difficult routes.
The Cielo Aviation team is available 24/7 to respond to requests and continue to arrange flights, when operationally possible.
Naturally, many clients are wondering how aircraft are being cleaned, and what procedures are in place to minimize the risk of viral transmission. So, here are some more details on how our aircraft operators are working to protect both passengers and crews.
Under normal circumstances, Cielo Aviation’s private jets are thoroughly cleaned between each flight, ready to welcome each group of passengers.
However, in recent weeks, to further protect customers and crews, our operator suppliers have implemented even more rigorous cleaning through a sanitization process in accordance with the law.
The aircraft of the fleet that Cielo Aviation charters are disinfected with a special antiviral product before each flight. They are also equipped with sanitary kits including masks, gloves and sanitizer, which passengers can choose to use.
In order to meet social distancing guidelines recommended by health professionals and to protect both passengers and crew, the aircrews of Cielo Aviation have changed their service procedures.
While usually passengers are greeted by the crew with a handshake, pilots are now using a frequency signal instead. Inside the cabin, they keep as much distance as possible between themselves and the passengers, using the aircraft’s sound system to give safety instructions if possible. On larger private jets with multi-zone cabins (such as the Falcon 7X or Gulfstream G650), passengers can remain isolated from the crew, if they wish.
Depending on the airport and aircraft type, some passengers can have their car parked directly outside the aircraft, either on departure or arrival – with all the necessary immigration and safety procedures performed from their vehicle.
The Team of Cielo Aviation obviously provides for disinfection procedures of all transfer vehicles (land and sea) for transport to and from airports.
In order to travel by a private plane chartered by Cielo Aviation, you have to follow a series of rules that can make your flight safer, remembering that in conditions of a suspected symptomatic or asymptomatic infection it is better to postpone your flight to another date.
