Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition 2014
“It is clear that business aviation is growing in China and throughout Asia. This is very important for our industry and for the event ABACE in the coming years.”
These were the words of the NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen at the closing conference of the three days of the ABACE2014.
Held at the Hongqiao International Airport, just 13 km from the center of Shanghai, this event of world aviation, born only in 2012, saw the number of exhibitors increased by 20% in 2014 compared to two years ago; and aircraft on static display were 38, 41% more than the 2012 edition.
But the ABACE2014 was not only a show of global proportions, it was also a demonstration of a growth project deeply rooted in the Chinese culture.
70 students from the best universities of China took part to the series of conferences organized during ABACE2014.
This is a signal that the process of expansion of Chinese aviation is already collecting young and capable talent, able to bring in a short time, China to compete with the neighboring Middle East.
Also the organizer of the event confirmed this trend. The Representatives of NBAA and the authorities of the airport of Shanghai, at the end of the event, signed an agreement of cohoperation until 2021.
